Mood Management Program

WNY Psychotherapy Services
is pleased to announce the launch of our Mood Management Program that Dr. David Pratt has launched in March of 2016.

The Mood Management Program (MMP) is an evidenced based, cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT) program for youth ages 5-17 with depression and/or anxiety problems. Dr. Pratt developed this program over the past decade while working with severely depressed, suicidal and traumatized youth at the WNY Children’s Psychiatric Center.

The MMP helps youth learn practical cognitive and behavioral coping skills to manage depression, anxiety and self-harm urges. Dr. Pratt has found the MMP program to be clinically effective with a severely emotional disturbed adolescent psychiatric population. His current goal is to bring the MMP to youth living in the community who are experiencing more moderate levels of depression and anxiety in the hope of preventing the need for hospitalization or more intensive community services.
